(Note: This is kinda meant tongue in cheek, I don't think cops should get to just decide to shoot people for some of the various reasons they've gotten away with it for. I'm not even saying there's not a time and place, but many instances where not that time and place.) That being said I don't condone what happened here at all either. This is sad stuff.
