Star Trek: Beyond
It attempts to be about a real sci-fi idea, isn't entirely about violence, and there are some genuine character-building scenes with Kirk, which is good. But the movie has things like a Beastie Boys song destroying the enemy fleet, it's difficult to even remember what Idris Elba's plan is (by the way, he's wasted in that role under all the makeup), the action scenes are pretty dumb, and it's just overall not a fun movie.

Weird side note: George Takei maintained for decades that although he was gay, Sulu was straight. But someone wanted one of the main characters in this franchise to be gay, so Sulu has a one-second scene with his husband. How annoyed are you about this if you're George Takei?

Cardassia Prime
Probably my favorite planet in Star Trek; I wish we'd seen more of it. The brutal fascist aesthetics, the complete lack of freedom and creativity, the haughty attitude of the people, it's all great. It has my favorite detail of any Star Trek faction, which is how trials aren't about proving guilt or innocence, only about showing how you committed a crime and allowing you to beg the state for mercy. It tells you so much about their culture. If DS9 was made today, I'm sure they'd also have social credit scores.

The TOS SNL skit with John Belushi as Kirk
Haven't seen this; will watch it later and rank it.

The Maquis
I'm going to assume this is the group, and not the episode named after the group. The Maquis are born of a fun concept: what happens when the Federation's desire for peace runs up against its desire to treat its citizens on the frontier fairly? What happens when people can't rely on their government to protect them? The Maquis explore that, and then the moment their purpose is done, the Dominion casually destroys them all. Poor Ensign Ro, did you ever choose the wrong horse to back.

Replicators
I actually thought you meant the Stargate spiders until I remembered. Replicators are fine. They let the heroes have access to whatever minor objects the plot requires them to have and establish how advanced we are. As a plot device, they're not as interesting or special as the transporter or holodeck, though. It's also kind of funny that we're edging closer and closer to them becoming reality with 3D printing.

Wesley Crusher
He's bad, but not even in the bottom 3 Star Trek characters. If you include DIS and PIC, he might not even be in the bottom 8.

That one matte painting per planet that gets reused over and over and over to represent recurring alien worlds
I know exactly the one you mean; it's kind of purple and red.

Captain Proton Holonovels
On the one hand, I have a hard time believing anyone in the future would care about a 1920s vision of their time. On the other hand, fine. There are a couple of fun episodes set here, like the one where Janeway dresses up as an evil empress and the one with the photonic aliens who assume all organic life is fake.

Tasha Yar
I can't rightly blame Denise Crosby for ditching the show; she couldn't have known it would blow up like that. But man, it leaves Yar with nothing. She comes back for one last great episode, where she sacrifices herself to stop some Romulans and save the future. Then it's revealed that she was raped in a concentration camp, gave birth to a daughter who betrayed her, and died off-screen. That gave us some good episodes with the daughter, but man, Yar as a character just could not catch a break.

Best Version of the Enterprise from all the Series
I looked up all of the versions of the Enterprise on Memory-Alpha for this. I'm giving this one to the D. The Enterprise-E was a downgrade as far as I'm concerned.

Alternate Future 3-Nacelle Enterprise
I'm assuming you mean the Enterprise-J, even though it only has two warp nacelles. The best thing about it is the TOTALLY REAL hallway set that they TOTALLY BUILT.

Riker Chair Maneuver
Absolute power move. This is a major benefit in negotiations with uppity aliens who aren't tall enough to pull this off.

Worf x Dax
To be honest, I never completely bought it. I know Dax has the experience of being a friend to the Klingons and a great warrior, and Terry Farrell is 6'0", but she's clearly not hanging with Worf in a fight. I always imagined Worf as settling down with another giant Klingon woman like himself. Add to that that Dax's primary interest is science (which, I might have to call Dax the worst of the science officers, it's between her and T'Pol), which Worf clearly has zero interest in, and ehhhh. I'll accept this, but I was never completely into it.
