Actively mocking it most def comes across as transphobic reading the article at face value, it seems as if she tried that and was constantly being asked/told to do so with pressure from fans and activists. And it eventually got to a point where it became bullying. That was her point. and if thats what happened shes under zero obligation to do any of that as long as shes not actively suppressing or demeaning the trans community. The one big caveat though behind the whole thing is that she's in that Joe Rogan camp of folks who are likely closeted pro-Qanon followers yet are smart enough to keep their explicit beliefs off social media.
