It's a standard thing that happens every time. Sanders was one of the people due such a pledge because he had a delegate count. I couldn't tell you the threshold or if there is one. At any rate, the DNC invited AOC to be the one to present the *purely symbolic* endorsement of Sanders. The media -- at both ends -- instantly jumped on the narrative that AOC was being a radical leftist soygirl beta bitch by endorsing Sanders instead of Biden even though it's just a symbolic ceremonial thing. A lot of people don't understand that latter part. A lot of people also think the DNC set her up because they probably knew in advance the headlines would look fucking terrible for AOC.
