If its like the cold surely developing a vaccine is pointless in that case?The expectation is that we follow medical advice (masks, social distancing, quarantine, etc.). As we've seen, a lot of people just flat out refuse to follow those instructions, though. Trump himself knew he had been exposed to COVID-19, but still refused to wear a mask or follow social distancing guidelines. So I don't know what the answer is any more. Imo It kinda feels like we're screwed until an effective vaccine is available. And even then, if permanent immunity won't be a thing, we may just have to take the vaccine periodically until the virus is considered eradicated.
