On the ground it's Mine and you get materials In the air it's Block. To answer your second question, the blocks deteriorate very quickly and can be broken by anyone. At a crafting table, it's Craft and you can craft weapons, including stronger variants of your sword/pickaxe/axe. Side B is Minecart, which requires materials. Up B is Elytra (the glide wings), which doesn't require materials. Down B is TNT, and you can spend materials to create a fuse and pressure plate to set it off. All crafted weapons break after a time, leaving you with a weak swipe.
