If you are getting moderated for Offensive it isn't that your opinion is necessarily offensive, it is how you are saying it that is. Best current example is the BLM protests, no matter what side of the fence you are on if you state your opinion in a non-confrontational way, you will be fine. If you start throwing around insults, saying something racists, using stereotypes, or just generally trying to piss people off, then you will be moderated.
Hence why I said the person who moderated you should have given an explanation to you, because in these cases we are supposed to explain exactly why what someone said is Offensive/Abusive because that can be largely objective but still not appropriate for a public forum.
They used to provide an explanation, but I think they stopped doing it. ---
