Yeah it's just like if I goofed and said "klnop", or whatever. What we're saying is precisely that a SCOTUS nominee shouldn't make even this little goof. You expect them to have not just a level of competence, but mastery. Is she qualified for the job? Sure, there's no doubt of that. She can handle it. But is she the best candidate for the position, at this time, or even a good candidate? ...probably not, there are better candidates who are not nominated only for political reasons.
