The movies are better than they have any right to be, lol.

I've seen all three of them at our local drive-in. They're cute and surprisingly deep for an animated family movie.

Each of the movies tackles a certain family dynamic that can be very relatable. The first one is about "dating outside the culture" and a single father's desire to keep family traditions alive while doing what's best for his family. The second is an extension of the first movie's plot, but with the added measure of including the husband's family learning to accept Drakula's culture, and Drakula's dad's racism towards humans (and not knowing that his grandkid is human). The third movie then tackles moving on with your life, as Drakula sees his daughter with her own family and desires love, but doesn't want to forget his wife who passed away, closing him off to other relationships.

Outside of the main plots, of course you will find the usual Sandler-esque hijinks with the supporting cast to round out the movie. It's pretty comedic throughout with the occasional emotional moments thrown in.

This. I think Sandler shenanigans just seem much more likeable if in a cartoon environment.

Its real weird, although If anyone hasn't seen the movie, she's 118 as a joke. Like she's finally an adult, but because vampires are immortal its 118 instead of 18. Doesn't make the people thirsting over her less gross, but the movie makes it very clear she is, in fact, like 5 seconds removed from being a literal child.
