So my company controls the nameservers and DNS entries of hundreds of websites (that we host), and the customer decided they wanted to take back control of their DNS entries.

This did this without any warning to us whatsoever.

Now today all of the sudden they are asking us to FIX THEIR website because it broke.

They took back control of their DNS, failed to properly prepare the DNS records on their end and are now pissed at us because their website isn't working...

I responded to them with their websites IP information, and now they want me to hold their hands and guide them through setting up the proper dns records with THEIR domain registrar.

Well fuckers! the website wouldn't have stopped working if you didn't do something that you CLEARLY had no idea whatsoever how to do.
