FEATURED RIVALRY #11:

John Tanner vs. Charles Jericho (Driver Series)

"Let me get something straight and out of the way: Tanner is a freaking badass. He didn't deserve the humiliating beat-up he got back in 2004. The only reason he was smashed by Snake was because Driver 3 (also known as 'DRIV3R') had just come out, it made Tanner an average character, and it paled in comparison to the first 2 games. DRIV3R deviated from what it originally was --a driving simulator-- to make it more like GTA, and that's where it all went down the drain (not because of the concept per se, but because of how it was executed).

As for Jericho, he's one of many, many bad guys. The story of the various Driver games is intricate and many even a little convoluted (you have to look very well into the details or else you might get a little lost), but that's kind of how the mafia works, I guess.

This rivalry isn't quite as direct or obvious as others, since there are many people involved in lots of different criminal conflicts, but Jericho is usually the one behind the big ones,
