You're walking home one day when you slip and tumble over.

You expect to feel your face smashing into the hard sidewalk but instead when you hit the ground you feel only unpleasant but soft dirt and sand. Then something feels off, there's sand in your hair and there's way more hair than there should be.

Then you stand up and discover you're no longer at your hometown but instead are on some kind of dirt road in New Mexico. You're also wearing a dress and have long hair... You're a little dazed from the bang on the head and the sun blazing down on you doesn't help.

A rugged man in his mid-30s on horseback wearly absurdly old fashioned clothes and wielding a revolver on his belt rides by, stops when he sees you and says "You alright ma'am? You look a little worse for where. Where's your daddy?"

What does he mean ma'am? Then it hits you. You look down, pat your body down and realize that you're a girl in her late teens or early 20s.

"Oh I see you've had a little too much liquor last night? You know a lady shouldn't oughta be doing that but can't say I blame you, reckon I did mighty worse when I was your age. D'ya need a ride back to town ma'am? Lots of unsavory folk out here, I wouldn't hang around if I can help it."
