All dog breeds are not made the same and any breed is not capable of doing the damage that a pit bull is, the way that their jaws work and how they can lock on to things just factually makes them one of the most dangerous dog breeds when they attack. Pit Bulls do not have lock jaws, that is a myth. Also, there are many breeds that are larger and far more powerful. German Shepards are larger and have a stronger bite. Anytime this situation happens it's a tragedy, but we can discuss dog/human safety without being sensationalist. Also, without a picture provided saying that the dog was a "Pit Bull" doesn't say anything.
