Obama put up the cages as 48 hour holding for unaccompanied minors who were to be sent to shelters so that they wouldn't have to be homeless in border towns. Trump did an around the table vote by hand to turn them into punitive family separation. The Iran cash was their money frozen in our bank accounts agreed to be made liquid again if they let us in to inspect their sites regularly.
