See, California is back-ass-wards when it comes to taking action or coming up with reasons to do anything. It would look at an impending invasion, prepare in most parts, and then the idiots in charge would word their declaration against China so bad that the state BECOMES China's, confusing everyone and angering many. Portland, OR, would find some quirky way to combat an invasion before the whole state falls, but that won't stop highway patrol from pulling over tanks that are going too fast on some stretch of highway, and someone at the gas pump getting angry at an invader for filling up their own vehicle. Meanwhile, in WA, there would be such a divide in attitudes depending on where you go, such as most of the Sound area being so against the invaders, and then Centralia plus the east side of the state would be against the invaders and the libs alike to the point where they attack both, causing Tacoma, Seattle, Olympia, et al., to buckle under pressure that it would have handled just fine if it had come from overseas rather than inland as well. --- ...
