The lockner era was a period of time where the supreme court had a Conservative majority.

They decided the "right to contract" was a thing. Child labor laws were gone, minimum wage was gone, overtime pay was gone, businesses had the right to make any kind of deal they wanted with their employee. Businesses had the right to pollute anything they wanted.

This is why we don't like Conservatives, resident Republican voters. It's not some global conspiracy, they just side with businesses over the working class.

And Pelosi could have stopped this by jamming up the process with higher priority issues, instead we got a new appointment in record time.

Any progressive change is now impossible until we get a new appointment.
