I agree with you being Christian does not mean you can't be objective, or that you force your beliefs on others.
In terms of marriage equality, a lot of LGBTQ+ people grew up in Christian households, and were scarred by parents saying they would disown them, or that we were sins against God, or even worse conversation therapy. I know this isn't representative of all Christianity, but has been reality for many.
Combine that with the GOP attacks on certain rights in recent years, and you get a group of people who are assuming the worse because they haven't seen behavior to make them believe otherwise.
Yeah, I understand the fear of what possibly could happen, but lately I've been trying to challenge my own biases and beliefs more often. I'm wondering if there is any evidence specifically that supports a belief that ACB may be what many people are fearing.
