Short answer is it doesn't fucking work. Has never worked in all history. God's "acts of god" are some of the most impotent ineffective shit ever.

Fast forward a little, we're outside Sodom now and there's these 2 angels that are like "Lot, we like you and your family but we have to blow this place up. We want you to escape though so take your family and leave but don't look back." What happens, his wife looks back.

Let's go a little further, there were these massive plagues and an angel of death and parting the fucking ocean and now we've just left egypt and moses is like "these are the ten commandments. The most important one here is the first one obviously don't worship any other god. The rest don't really matter. Now I'm going to go behind the mountain here to take a piss don't do anything stupid." Moses goes to piss and comes back and they've already set up a golden bull calf false idol to worship.

This isn't like a failure to uphold a long time commitment perfecty like drinking alcohol on new years even though you're not supposed to. This is people everywhere cannot follow a direct order from God for 5 fuckin minutes.

And this isn't the only time this shit has happened in the bible.

So why aren't there any more acts of God? Because they don't fucking work.
