No. In some senses, they're a mix between Republicans and Democrats but in reality it's more a matter that both parties share some of their priorities although libertarians generally go a lot further. Libertarians are classic liberals (unlike "leftists" claiming to be liberals) and are pro-freedom in almost every regard. Keep in mind that libertarians are generally more pro-immigration than democrats. They also tend to be far more anti-war than democrats. They tend to be socially very liberal and fiscally very conservative. You are not likely to see a libertarian speak out against gay marriage for example, since doing so directly conflicts with their philosophy --- I think there might be something wrong with you ...
