It is solely a legal thing and the fact they can't even update the support page they redirect people to speaks volumes about their care towards it It's a page that gets probably single-digit visits per year, and the people who do see it probably aren't in a good state of mind to say "hey, your link is actually out of date". It's a page that likely has zero dynamic content on it. Unless the admins are made aware of it being out of date, it's understandable (but still bad) that they haven't had any impetus to touch the page at all. I already posted on another board the admins are active on about it - it should get fixed. Saying it's solely a legal thing is disingenuous. From a legal perspective, yes, they absolutely have to do it. You don't want lawsuits coming down on you because one user egged another into suicide through your site. That doesn't preclude it from being intended as a firebreak against the scum elements of this board that would do so, for the good of the user. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
