If the brother was exposed on the 31st, it would likely have taken a day or two to become infectious enough to transmit to her ex and his mom, and then another day or two for her ex to become infectious enough to transmit it to Jen. It's possible to fit both of those incubation periods into the 5 days between the 1st and the 6th, but it's a bit of a stretch. Presuming her ex tests positive, she should probably be isolating and watching for symptoms, but odds are it's okay. --- This is my signature.
