You're talking about Earth Metal Armor.

This is a fantasy sci-fi universe. I'm not sure what that armor is made out of (don't tell me Star Wars nerds) but it's clearly not metal or kevlar. It's design is to protect from lasers, lacerations and burns. It's clearly different and lighter.

Logic about flaws in human armor on Earth is not automatically applicable.

Reminds me of a scene in Star Trek The Next Generation where Scotty is running around Engineering panicking that everything is wrong because he doesn't standard how the stuff works.

Maybe concrentrating the impact is exactly what this armor is designed to do and beneficial?

I mean, Beskar is able to deflect blaster bolts and Durasteel acts similarly to armor that we have in non-fiction. SO if they're wearing Beskar, the boob-sculpt is an obvious design choice. Durasteel, boob sculpts are ineffective.

Except we've seen how Blaster bolts react to Mandalorian Armor. The blaster bolts clearly have mass as objects struck by them move backwards and the blasters themselves have recoil, thus it's safe to assume they behave similarly to bullets, thus absorption would be the better option given the weight
