Would you try to contact her?

It turns out you have an older sister that your parents never told you about. They called her Amy and believed she died when she was a baby in a car crash in Germany. The body was never found but there was enough blood on the scene that the police said there was no chance she survived.

The whole affair was too painful for them so they never talk about it or bring it up. That's why you didn't know.

Turns out the police on the scene were incompetent, possibly a French national and that blood actually came from a red fox

Your sister was found by German farmhands who assumed her to be abandoned and raised her as their own. Her name is Erika Aeschlimann.

Somehow you by chance discover the truth about all of this as well as definitive proof that you are related.

Looking her up online you can tell from her social media that she was a farmhand until adulthood, served in the army as a sniper for years and now builds and repairs Heavy Duty Bail and Press machines for industrial recycling of cardboard. She can also speak English as a second language.

Would you get in contact? If so, what would you say?
Would you tell your parents?
Or would you leave that door closed forever?
