disco: just take a look at this scene where you report to a woman about his dead husband (minor side quest spoiler)

pathologic: it's just full of brilliance, the writing is just so good: "Convenience is poison. One must accustom themselves to pursue any intention as soon as it appears, regardless of difficulty. Otherwise one burns out, gives in to doubt, starts fearing oneself. The bolder the dream, the more surely it becomes dust when the moment is lost."

Nier: Tbh i'd put the first one above automata, but overall the writing really gives that melancholy feel. the one with the robot village is the best part imo.

what remains of editch finch: also excellently written with top-notch presentation.

Age of Decandece: again, just chock full of good classic proses, intriguing setting and story. game is really niche, so it can be hard finding actual quotes from the game
