| Topic | Christmas is one of my favourite times of year. How can people not love it? |
| monkmith 11/22/20 2:08:21 PM #7: | currently? because its a bullshit holiday designed to make companies more money. its original intent? it was originally thought up as a way to wrap up a bunch of pagan holidays together in a nice bundle to let the missionaries steamroll over heathen religions. and sadly, it means that much of the history and mythology of said religions has been lost, thanks to said missionaries. only reason i 'celebrate' it is because its a halfway decent time to talk to family i spend most of the year ignoring. --- Taarsidath-an halsaam.
