Internet culture becoming mainstream culture. It was a trend in the late 2000s already but the 2010s really saw the internet stop being its own world and fully be a part of normal life. Social media, every story spreading instantly, everyone recording everything on their phone to post online, etc. 2010s are where it really took hold on a new level.

Or maybe we'll remember it as the time before covid ruined our our lives. Either one works.

Yeah this is probably more accurate than what I said.

Politics aside, I think it's sometimes easy for those of us who were always online to forget how atypical that was a decade ago
