Gee I wonder if closing schools and banning dine-in at resturants would be more effective? Perhaps activating the National guard to enforce masks at grocery stores, help prevent large gatherings and to help distribute food to the poor and vulnerable to help protect them and decrease traffic in grocery stores?

As great as that sounds and would probably slow the spread, it won't happen. There is no way the national guard can go to every store to make sure the mask mandate is enforced. The stores need to enforce it themselves instead of letting people walk all over them.
