Ive never met someone who chose it blind, and ended up regretting it. That its absurdly powerful helps too. its the fastest and most powerful of the starters. Its signature move has a secret increased critical hit ratio and its Hidden Ability may not be Protean-but-with-a-different-name, but Sniper is really good with its increased criticals. Especailly since Snipe Shot and its Gigantamax move can't be redirected. You've got one turn to take it down.
