Pretty much. Yes, there are tons of sequels, spinoffs, and other highly derivative games coming out, and they tend to dominate the mainstream conversation and advertising space by virtue of being more recognizable and higher budget, but there is also tons of high-quality original content coming out that doesn't get mainstream attention. You've gotta look for it, but if you actually want more originality and new ideas, it's absolutely out there.
