Oh yeah, Big and Forest Gump. I know those. But it's like, if you like listening to music, does that mean you know the name of everybody in the band? No. I've seen movies without knowing who the actor are.

if you've ever heard of Nirvana, i can understand not remembering Novoselic. i can understand overlooking Duff Mckagan in Guns and Roses. If you're a "fan" of Tool, i can understand not remembering Justin Chancellor on Trivia Night.

But not knowing Kurt Cobain, Axl Rose, ot Maynard James Keenan while being aware of their bands strikes me as odd. continuing the Tom Hanks Metaphor...he hasn't been what you'd call a supporting actor since he started acting in films. I can see maybe forgetting his role in "He Knows You're Alone", but he's been the lead or Co-Lead in every film he's been in since his time on the Bosom Buddies Sitcom, and very few of us here can actually claim to remember that sitcom when it was still on the air. It's not like we're talking about a drummer in Frank Sinatra's backing band here or the backup singers in a Motown band. We're not talking about the Drummer in Twisted Brown Trucker, we're talking about Kid Rock.

yeah, i beat up on drummers, but i was a bass player.
