Modern fiber can reach 40 to 60 miles. There is a huge opportunity that would mean a ton of jobs to lay fiber all over the country and build and set up fiber hubs every 40 - 60 miles to service both cities and rural areas. South Korea, while their infrastructure is much more vertical than ours would be, has spent at least a couple decades investing in their internet infrastructure.
