Restoring NN by EO is just going to backfire again. Having the FCC restore it is better, but it's really going to take some strong, preferably bipartisan, congressional support. and i just don't think the people there right now understand the issue anywhere near enough to fight off all the lobbyist propaganda. Yup. A huge part of the problem here is that most people, especially our politicians, have no idea what net neutrality actually is. And a troubling sign in recent months is just how little so many people understand about so many things. They don't know what it is so they somehow assume said thing is political in nature. Then they just go with whatever dumb thing they heard about it, whether it's true or not. As has been said many times ITT, net neutrality is a principle that has been in existence for decades. It only became regulation after ISPs were repeatedly caught violating those principles at the expense of their customers. --- ... Copied to Clipboard! |
