Going back to the vaccine thing, I absolutely am afraid of the vaccine. I know it's because I have a very hard time processing low probability events on an intuitive level, but I am sort of terrified if I get the vaccine I will get COVID from the vaccine and die.

if it's the mRNA ones (Pfizer, Moderna) this isn't a concern since it's not injecting you with COVID. you do get sick afterwards but it's for a few days and relatively minor, though we do need more info. long term effects remain unknown but it's not COVID at least. fortunately we'll be getting a lot more data quick in the next few months; Pfizer meets with the FDA on the 10th, Moderna soon after, and that's when data will start getting independently analyzed and sorted though. i think we're generally in the same age bracket so unless you're in some sort of priority position (e.g., doctor, nurse) you aren't going to even have the option until at least spring so just pay attention there.
