Less views than I expected so this somehow not a Internet shitstorm, but the dislike ratio is high

Basically they are mad that the reviewer complains about "having too much pointless things to do" and people respond with "it's a RPG what did you expect!!!"

Now I am kind of torn because both of them are..right?
Take Ubisoft games for example, they are full of pointless things to do like collect feathers or find flags or repeat the same missions over and over again (but in different locations or whatever) this is fake length and fake content
And, well, if there is a mechanic in a game but you don't need to use it because the game is too easy/it's not rewarding, in my opinion this means the game failed the mechanics. Some Assassin Creed game used to have a bomb system (I think it was Revelations) that I never used in the entire game because there was no need to.

But the "it's a RPG!" is also valid. People that play those games want to experience the world as much as possible and take their time slowly. They want to read side stories. They care for the little details. They don't want to rush to the ending.
