This paragraph shows you don't understand the basics behind vaccinations.

Vaccines aren't 100% effective for everyone, and the elderly especially might get less protection from them. There's also people who cannot get vaccines for legitimate medical reasons (due to being immunocompromised). It just so happens that these groups are also the most vulnerable against infectious diseases like COVID, so they have to rely on protection from herd immunity - which is why healthy people need vaccines as well.
