Topic	I can never surprise my wife and I want to scream.

Tell her, "oh I wanted to get you one little gift this year since it's been such a bad year..." Then, you can still have the surprise of that one single gift turning into a bunch of gifts on Christmas morning. We exchanged early in the relationship like normal people, but we've been together 20 years now and kinda ran out of ideas. We just focus on buying for our families. When we want something for ourselves, we just buy it. But yeah, downplaying the gift(s) is what I have moved onto. --- I guess I'm something of a ne'er do well.
