Hey, so remember this match? https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/poll/2524-blast-division-round-1-ganondorf-vs-vincent-valentine

That's real. It actually happened. It was only two years before the match we're about to talk about, too.

That was only three years ago.

A couple matches ago, we talked about Duke Nukem going out like a winner. In this match, Gordon Freeman got to go out like a winner -- and that's because Ganondorf got so thoroughly demolished that Gordon Freeman actually managed to not finish in last place. Gordon Freeman Always Wins!

This was an all-time terrible match for Ganondorf, though it isn't the first time we've seen him just get demolished by Nintendo in odd circumstances. There was the famous match against Link in 2004 where he got totally embarrassed, and here Samus was to show that 2005 was a fluke. All we needed really was the third member of the trinity, Mario, to do the same at some point. And he would get his chance in 2013, oddly enough.

...oh

Anyway, this was just Samus and Vincent flexing a ton of muscle. Samus was doing her usual thing where she destroys everyone until the top half of the Noble Nine came along, and Vincent was getting ready for the much-anticipated Crono rematch. All systems go at this point.
