second tweet summed it up there:
"but CDPR directly told us that the early DRM is bad for performance and is *not present* in the consumer copy, therefore testing pre-launch is invalid and not representative of the game."

so yeah. shittier copy.
it doesn't have day 1 applied either so that's a different angle. for AMD systems, probably a bigger deal there since they tend to perform worse at first and the patch might help them more on it.
