You can want to get over your drug addiction desperately and just not be able to because your body won't function. If you just leave the status quo they will never be able to get help though. There has to be some sort of system in place where we can push them into the help door. And a system where we can seize those drugs from their possession. Just sending them home with the stash they hid from their family isn't going to help.
