The gameplay never felt particularly engaging, and the abrupt uncontrollable camera shifts grated on my nerves pretty badly. Things eventually clicked enough that I could enjoy it to an extent, but I don't think I ever would have called it good. I think the developers planned out a very interesting, complex story that they couldn't quite put together into a satisfying package. Great setting, promising characters and writing, and some interesting concepts, but there were a lot of things that were left unexplained or just felt rushed to me.
