It's been years since they were widely used as a punching bag, yet there's been a noticeable influx of weirdly defensive/ranty posts like these protecting their honor. I'd say Cardi B is "the new Nickelback" - can't think of any other modern artist the internet rips to shreds more. Which is a shame, because Cardi is actually great, but oh well.
