Yes. I've had that, sleep paralysis, and lucid dreaming (sleep walking would probably fall in here as well, but I've never experienced that one.) When you are sleeping your body doesn't always shut off all its systems properly.

The sound was is pretty common for me, as I often fall asleep with the tv on, and can sometimes recognize whole episodes while actively being asleep and dreaming. I've experienced the opposite as well, where as I'm waking up, the sound I perceive from the tv slowly raises from inaudible to its correct level.

Your muscle cramp in your dream could go either way. You could have dreamed an attack there, because you where feeling the pain I'm real life. Or your body may hae failed to disable your muscles as much as it should, so when you got grabbed in the dream and started struggling, you where actually tensing your muscles and causing them to cramp.

Oh yeah ive had sleep paralysis as well. Shits scary. Only had it once but i struggled so hard to move I threw myself in the floorboard when I finally regained control. Was asleep in thr back seat of a van to explain the floorboard part
