but i was able to download that data and upload them to a medical based dna site and for 12 bucks it showed me if i had any genetic diseases and other stuff.

mostly told me i have a ton of genes that are common in folks with male pattern baldness....
just have to look in a mirror to know that though :(

I learned in genetics class that it's not what you think it is, something like 4% native american doesn't mean you have a native american ancestor, it's more like that's the chance of you being native american to their computer analysis

or something like that

At the very least for me, I know I do have First Nations ancestry and the results reflected that. It also (accurately) identified two locations in Britain that I have ancestors from and also the part of Ontario I had family immigrate to in the 1700s.
