My mother in law was the same way, and was complaining about missing work over something so stupid, saying what a joke the Covid Flu was. Then like 2 weeks later it hit her like a ton of bricks and we had to call a ambulance for her. She ended up hospitalized for a little over a month.

They just recently let her come home with a oxygen machine though.

She is diabetic though (and early 50s).
