TopicI've read 21 books this year. I think it's 21. That's good.

7 of them are fiction, and 14 are nonfiction. It's been strange for me. For a long, long time, I didn't read any nonfiction books at all, and was happy to just read various articles online, and watch some documentaries. Strange. I've certainly enjoyed myself, though, especially all the learning I've done.

The fiction books were a mix of classics and more obscure books. Generally American. As for nonfiction, they've been mostly American and British history. American history covered various periods, ranging from the late 18th century, all the way to the second half of the 20th century. Very interesting stuff at times. Deals with things like the early days of American democracy, the hippies in the sixties, and various other stuff. The British history was the latter parts of the 20th century. I also read about the Nuremberg Trials, in 1940s Germany, the Vietnam War, Canadian history, and modern Chinese history. Good stuff. Varied in length from slim to very chunky.

Thoughts on all this? Have you read much this year? Fiction of nonfiction?
