Okay, yeah, you guys are being kind of creepy.

Counter to supposition, I don't actually check PotD on multiple devices. I use one device (my laptop), and if that craps out (which it did), I'm not going to bother logging in via anything else to check in, explain, or otherwise demonstrate an addictive inability to live without the site. I mostly only check the site casually when I've got time to kill when I'm multitasking doing something else, so if I don't have the time or easy access, I'm pretty cool not checking in.

Sorry PotD, I'm just not that into you.

Basically, I was busy with holiday stuff, then I was dealing with other stuff (nothing major, just time-consuming... like getting work done on my furnace, cutting down trees on my property, etc), and in the middle of that my laptop decided to be a bitch, so there you go. Add in a lot of things taking more time to deal with during a pandemic, and I haven't really had a chance to deal with the computer side of things until now.

No, I didn't get Covid, no, I didn't stroke out on the toilet like Elvis, no, I wasn't violently murdered by the ghost of Ail seeking revenge, etc.

But yes, probably some day I am going to die of a massive bacon-induced heart attack and just disappear for good, and when that day comes please don't try and track me down in real life, even if you think you're being considerate or concerned or helpful. That's kind of stalkery and just a little bit entitled - and if I'm being honest, 20+ years of paranoia about that sort of thing means I've done a pretty good job making it extremely difficult to track my info down anyway (I'm not even sure if my personal info on GameFAQs is right or not - I did tend to use bogus personal info a lot to hide my tracks back in the day for exactly that sort of reason, and at this point it would be like 18 years out of date anyway).

There's a reason why there's precisely one PotDer in the history of the site I've ever given my actual e-mail address to (feel free to speculate who that might be... and no, it's not Nudo).

Basically. I'm definitely not "thin", but I wouldn't say I'm "fat", either. Kevin Smith's not a bad comparison (at least early Kevin Smith - I'm definitely not later-stage "stoner munchies fat" Kevin Smith, nor current "health scare vegan" Kevin Smith). Though he also used to look worse than he really was anyway, because he always wears kind of baggy clothes.

The thing to keep in mind though is that Kevin Smith is like 5'8" and I'm 6'3", so I wear the weight differently. And at least some of it is muscle (though my cardio has admittedly kind of gone to shit in the last year or so). Imagine Richard Moll in one of his roles in the 90s when he had hair, and add about 20-30 pounds or so, and you'd be pretty close.

I've basically got dad bod. Which isn't surprising considering I'm a guy in my mid-40s. And like most guys in long-term committed relationships, I don't really have to try and stay in great shape in the hopes of landing a partner. Once you've got the fish on the hook, you don't really need to keep the lure shiny.

Nah, it's going to be "People Suck". That better conveys my disgust for all subclasses of humanity, not just that one specific one.
