oh trials totally are, you just gotta be precise with it too. like if the state is gonna mass round up people and put 'em on trial uh, no that's just gonna make things worse. but if you're more pinpoint, entirely different, you're trying to follow systems and checks instead of letting emotions take over.

like if your goal is trump specifically i'm not sure he has much of an actual defense here. the best one i've seen is basically more a case of people wanting to let it breath more and get passed this and like... no, something ought to be done. but you don't want to do something that sets off a powder keg either, so you gotta play it more delicately. of course, him being president is the biggest hurdle here but for that you figure out what state charges you can apply to him. same with the other thing i said earlier - if you wanna primary Hawley/Cruz or dig up dirt on other figures (e.g., Trump Jr.) and charge accordingly, all better options. there's a clear political motivation here and there's definite cause for concern when going after your political enemies. yet if there's major crimes they're guilty of, get 'em.
