Am I going to go out and buy a huge ass umbrella cockatoo that can literally tear through my lip or ear with relative ease without extensive preparation and the knowledge base to train them? No.
And there are plenty of videos out there of umbrella cockatoos being sweet and snuggly, but that doesn't take away the danger they can represent. Same goes for other animals

so your problem is with bad dog owners, not with pit bulls
