No. The problem is, when a pit inevitably snaps there is virtually nothing you can do to stop it. I promise, idgaf how big or tough you are, 99% of the time you're not going to be able to stop it. I'm 6'1, 180 lbs and I couldnt stop my hillbilly pos neighbors pit (who snapped his chain and IMEDIATELY attacked my dog and I the first chance it got). Kicked it (found out later I broke 4 of its ribs), punched it, even tool a weed whacker to it. Only thing that finally got it off was thumbing its eyes, it let go and then went right back to trying to kill us.

So no, they very much are NOT "like any other dog". I'm suing the trash owners for $250,000 and it's a slam dunk case he has no excuse other than literally "I wasnt home it's not my fault he broke his chain!". Fuck you, pay me.

****WARNING****Graphic pics in spoiler so people can understand what these fucking things do and why they are so hated. Doesnt look like much but it was a deep bite he crunched my bone and severed tendons, it hurts every fucking day and I can't do video games with rapid press buttons or hold my hand steady. All because some fucking hick wanted a big mean dog and couldnt be arsed to properly contain the thing.

Sorry that happened to you, must have been fucking frightening. How did you get it to stop after the eye jab, just made it inside?
