  • Decide I'll at least start C Team with the shower. Junpei's like "I now have a dark backstory that's about one year old and I'm a totally different person than I was in the first game."
  • We open the X door, but this time, a magical blue energy swirl descends from the ceiling, and Carlos says he promised in another history to save them. Junpei is like "what nonsense," and it's like, dude, you've been through this before. Twice, technically.
  • This apparently opened up a new fragment in D and Q Teams. I do the Q Team route first, but it requires another 8-digit code I don't have. Next, I do the D Team route, but you need to guess two key items that are mothers' mementos. I know one must be Phi's pin thing, but I don't know its name, dammit.
  • At some point, I don't know when, a lock opened up on the D Team route where Sigma wants to disarm the bomb by himself. He succeeds, but loses his arms, and also an eye. And, indeed, everyone else is dead except Mira. Although, I notice Kid never has blood when he dies. For revenge, Mira injects Phi with Radical-6. Phi is like "Diana, kill me so Radical-6 doesn't escape," and Diana says "No, I'd rather send you up to the surface and doom humanity because I'm acting completely irrationally."
  • They go up to the surface, and we get that one recording from the previous game in real time. Diana phrases things to be as ambiguous and misleading as possible, claiming to have killed six people and six-billion people. I mean, okay, but no one would ever phrase things this way except to tie into the previous game because there was already a recording you had to go with.
  • Akane in the second game was pretty explicit that Sigma and Phi did not know what they'd find in the bunker. I mean, okay, fine, I realize that Sigma's and Phi's consciousnesses are from the future, but surely he could, like, write a note to himself that says "dude here's what happened in the bunker, be prepared," then switch back, or something like that. And like, the ways things were presented in the second game, Phi just showed up to the Akane's and Sigma's party in 2029 and demanded to be let in, and they didn't really know her except that they knew she'd be important. And Phi has Radical-6 right now? I guess she could survive, the game mentioned that there was a 25% survival rate, but then she just gets reinfected in the future of the second game? Because she could not have been infected all along throughout 2029, right? Because my impression was that Sigma and Phi went back in time to alter things, and here Sigma is like "dammit this is the timeline that produces the second game," which assumes a closed time loop where Sigma and Phi were always responsible via time travel, which is not how the second game presented things at all. Am I just not galaxy-brained enough to understand this game's plot?
  • I just realized how Mira's face and torso are a different color than her legs.
  • D-End get.
  • Go back and do the gun choice again, but this time the bullet is a blank. Is it truly just random?
  • Sigma survives, but shortly thereafter, everyone starts dying of poison. Akane sends antidotes via the dog, but is it really from Carlos? Phi says "Carlos might be trying to kill us with a fake antidote lol," but I mean... that would mean that he's either responsible for the initial poisoning, in which case why poison you twice, or he knew that you'd be nonlethally poisoned and sent this to finish you off. I expect explanations later!
  • I choose not to drink it, but then it turns out that the poison in our veins is real poison, and we all die. Good work, Diana, I'm blaming you for this.
